As well as County Councillor for Pembroke Monkton and St Mary South, Jonathan is also a Pembroke Town Councillor for Monkton.

In Council, Jonathan sits on the Corporate Overview & Scrutiny Committee, Investigation and Disciplinary Committee and is a member of the Housing Revenue Account.

Outside bodies include Panel member of the Dyfed-Powys Police & Crime Panel, RWE Pembroke Power Station Community Liaison Committee and Valero Community Liaison Committee.

Jonathan is also a Community Governor of Monkton Priory School and a Trustee of the Tanyard Youth Project in Pembroke.
